INDICANNACO believes in its mission of versatility through sustainable means. For this very reason, we have chosen to create our product line based on Cannabis Sativa, the much-misunderstood marvel of nature. We earn our trust the Indus Hemp way, letting our values guide decision making from seed to shelf.
Taking a seed-to-shelf approach and cultivating strong relationships across our supply chain allows us to maintain incredibly high-quality standards across our portfolio of hemp products. With our certifications, INDICANNACO is committed to sustainability in every part of the company.
Sustainability is important because we all are responsible for nourishing our planet. And our Hemp Products are pure and simple, healthy and safe, affordable, and accessible to all without compromise.
"Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." A very good example is the Hemp crop which is basically nature’s purifier and amazingly returns 60-70% of the nutrients it takes from the soil.
Native Indian proverb expresses sustainability in a lovely way:
"The frog does not drink up the pond in which he lives."
The pond is our beautiful planet, Earth, and we are the frogs.
We have a responsibility to use our resources wisely and to protect them for ourselves and future generations.
INDICANNACO not only works hard to make the best Hemp Superfoods and Hemp Care products out there, but we are mindful of our impact on the environment. While we may only be one small frog in our large pond, we believe responsibility is critical at every level.
The production of Hemp is carbon negative, which means it absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere during its growth than is emitted by the equipment used to harvest, process and transport it. The world is facing enormous challenges – how can we transition from high carbon to a low carbon economy? To achieve this, hemp has a valuable contribution to play and offers economically viable solutions to help address some of the major challenges our societies currently face, including pollution, carbon emissions, plastics waste, world hunger, people’s health, lack of jobs and rural underdevelopment.
One of the things we value the most is our relationships with our hemp and various herb cultivars and the auctions we attend. We like to think we cultivate our network of growers with the same care and affection that they tend their plants. We’ve been working with some of our growers from various parts of the country for over a year now and we know them and their families, and we have a screening process for all our procurement. We are a part of a network of hemp and herb producers where we infuse our hemp care formulations with the highest grade botanical extracts and pure essential oils.
Our Seed has to meet very high standards of food quality and food safety, and to conform to the best agronomic practices. That means no herbicide or pesticide usage in the hemp crop as we do continuous lab tests to accomplish these high standard results. We work with our cultivars on seed fertility practices and we’re a resource for them because we rely on one another.
We support our local farming community there by increasing employment.
